Yeah, we know, it's only been one pre-season game, but after being awful at the Quarterback position since Peyton Manning Retired after winning Super Bowl 50 in 2016, Broncos Country finally has some hope.

The Denver Broncos drafted Bo Nix 12th overall in the 2024 NFL Draft, making him the highest-drafted Quarterback for the Denver Broncos since Jay Cuter was drafted 11th overall in the 2006 NFL Draft.

Fun fact, Bo Nix is the second-highest drafted QB for the Broncos, only behind Jay Cutler. Denver didn't draft John Elway in the 1983 draft, he was drafted by Indianapolis (Then the Baltimore Colts) and traded to Denver after because Elwasy refused to play for the Colts.

Bo Nix Balls Out In First NFL Game For Denver Broncos

While Broncos fans were excited when we drafted stud college QB Bo Nix from the Oregon Ducks at number 12 this year, many were leary because we've been burned by so many other QBs since Peyton retired.

While many were excited about what they had heard and seen of his progress at camps, the anticipation of seeing him play in an actual game was at an all-time high. Bo came into the game as the second QB and led us to a 34-30 win over the Colts.

In his Broncos debut, after shaking off some first-game nerves, Bo completed 15 of 21 pass attempts and rushed for 17 yards. He threw his first NFL Touchdown as well. Full highlights are below.

While it was just a preseason game, the team, former players, and the fans all seem extremely happy with Bo's Broncos debut and are excited to see what he does when he starts at home this weekend against the Green Bay Packers, in preseason game number two at Empower Field at Mile High this Sunday at 6 pm.

At this point though, outside of an injury, we don't believe there's any way he's not named the starting QB for the upcoming season. Go Broncos!

Jersey Numbers the Denver Broncos No Longer Use

These jersey numbers hold special reverence to the team and thus aren't allowed to be worn any longer. When longtime fans see these numbers they say, "He was the best!" "The GOAT!" "They couldn't have done it, without him!"
