
CU Announce Former Coach Of San Jose State As Buffs New Head Coach
It was announced today that Mike MacIntyre, former head coach of San Jose State will take the reigns as the new head coach for the CU Buffs.
The University of Colorado called for a news conference this afternoon to make the announcement. MacIntyre will be the 25 full time coach in CU's history.
The Buffs held a 1-11 record this season which is worst in the 123 year history of the Buffs football program. MacIntyre has a large task at hand being asked to turn around their 7 year stretch of losing seasons.
MacIntyre does have quite the resume as it comes to being qualified for the job. Mike, son of former Vanderbilt Coach George MacIntyre, has held three successful years as the San Jose State head coach. MacIntyre history also includes a former position as Duke's defensive coordinator and has also been the Dallas Cowboys and New York Jets secondary coach.
The 47 year old, MacIntyre will succeeding former buffs head coach Jon Embree for the University of Colorado.
