Colorado Mountain Lion Caught Growling At Front Door Cam. How Would You React?
Living in Colorado, especially near the foothills in Fort Collins or in the mountains themself, you've always got to be prepared for an occasional wildlife visit like the mountain lion who growled at this Colorado homeowner's front door. (Scroll down for video)
Mountain Lion Caught Growling At Front Doorbell Cam
I've lived in Fort Collins multiple times, but never close enough to the foothills to really have to worry about any Colorado wildlife showing up at my front door. I did work at a radio station back in the day on Laporte and Shields that would have the occasional deer in the parking lot, but nothing like this visit.
The Ring Doorbell video that was posted by a homeowner in Vail and shared by Denver 7 shows the big cat strolling up the stairs to check things out, heading back down the stairs, then comes back running quickly up the stairs and growling towards the doorbell cam. It looks like the mountain lion was running from a car passing by in the road below and may have been a bit spooked. It then goes venturing around the side porch before the video ends.
Not sure what the big cat was looking for other than maybe a place to hide out or lay low? Here's the entire video below.
Had I seen his pop up on my doorbell camera, I'm not certain what my reaction would be. The only action I get on mine is all the junk that my wife has the poor Amazon driver delivering every day and the occasional person who can not read the "No Soliciting" sign hung right on my front door. I guess I'm too much of a city boy.
