What is a hipster? According to its dictionary definition, it's "a person who follows the latest trends and fashions, especially those regarded as being outside the cultural mainstream." When it comes to hipsters who love obscure, indie, or vintage things, Colorado is one of the top places to live according to this new ranking.
What Colorado City Is Best For Hipsters?
LawnStarter set out on a mission to find the most rad cities for the hipster community. They based their rankings on fashion, thrift store availability, culture, access to farmers' markets, food and drink options, and more. After all of their digging, Denver, Colorado, landed at number 8 with a score of 44.43. Colorado Springs was next at number 58 with a score of 22.31, and our very own Fort Collins rounded out the Top 100 for Colorado at number 65 with a score of 20.79. Am I the only one blown away that Boulder didn't make the Top 100 at all? I guess that's more for "hippies?"
The top 3 hipster cities on LawnStarter's list were Portland, Oregon at number three, Los Angeles, California at number two, and New York City tops the list at number one.
