Fantastic Colorado Christmas Drive-Thru Light Show Is Now Open
'Tis the season and Colorado celebrates hard this time of year. It's no surprise that we love our holiday light displays and one of the most popular drive-thru Christmas light attractions is back for 2023 with three different locations.
Popular Drive-thru Christmas Light Show Is Open For 2023
It's hard to drive I-25 in either direction around the Thornton Parkway exit in late November or December without seeing the fantastically bright and fun Christmas in Color spectacular from the highway.
It's so massive and bright in fact, that even from the interstate, which is miles away from the actual location, you can still see it clear as day! I've taken my family down there the past few years the night before and we really enjoyed it. Ever been?
Christmas in Color Drive-thru Light Attraction With Three Colorado Locations
While the original location at Water World in Federal Heights has been rolling since 2020, they added Bandimere in Morrison and the Arapahoe County Fairgrounds in Aurora as the latest two locations of this spectacular Christmas drive-thru event.
Tickets per carload will run ya about $35 for general admission or the "party pack" option which is $50 and includes different light-up toys and accessories for the kiddos. The night we went we got our GA ticket on Groupon and saved a few bucks. The trick is to pack as many peeps in your car, van, SUV, or pickup as possible to make it worth it. Pro tip... If you do ride in the bed of a pickup, dress warm! I didn't layer up enough last year and I regretted it almost immediately.
This fantastic display of synchronized lights and sound runs right through your radio and is fun, quick, and easy for the entire family. Here are some pictures that I took of the event from the bed of the truck as we cruised through the lights last season.
