Colorado Avalanche Stanley Cup Parade Route And Information
Their first Stanley Cup Championship Parade was back in 1996, their very first season in Denver. Then again in 2001. Our last Championship Parade in Denver was after Super Bowl 50 when the Denver Broncos brought home their third Lombardi Trophy. Now, it's parade time again in Denver, as your Colorado Avalance are bringing home Lord Stanley for the first time in over two decades.
The Championship Parade and Rally will take place this Thursday in Downtown Denver at 10 am. The festivities at Civic Center Park, which include live music and more, will begin at 9 am Here's a map posted by the NHL and the City and County of Denver to help get you prepared.
The Parade will begin at Union Station downtown and will run down 17th Street to Broadway, ending at Civic Center Park. When we watched the Broncos Parade back in 2016, we watched it from about three blocks down from Union Station on 17th street. We got there fairly early and snagged our spot. There were over one million people on that parade route and about the same amount of fans are predicted to be at this Parade as well.
While it looks like there's a lot of space here, it all fills up incredibly fast so plan ahead.
The team has posted some reminders of things to bring and to leave at home to make this the most enjoyable experience possible, as Avs Faithful gets together one last time this season to celebrate the biggest prize in all of hockey, the Stanley Cup Championship. Go Avs Go.
