Is Bass Pro Shops Coming To Northern Colorado? We Hope So

Bass Pro Shops Locations In Colorado

If you've never been to a Bass Pro Shops or Cabela's store, it's basically every hunter, fisher, camping, or outdoor lover's dream shop rolled into one. Think of it as a giant superstore for all things outdoor. Like the Super Walmart of hunting, fishing, camping, etc. Colorado currently has two Bass Pro Shops locations. One is in Denver, and the other is further south in Colorado Springs. We have two Cabela's (same company) locations as well in Thornton and Lonetree. Now, after a decade of hoping, and wishing, it sounds like Northern Colorado could finally be getting our own local Bass Pro Shops location.

Where Is Northern Colorado's Bass Pro Shops Going To Be Built?

You may remember back in 2015 when Bass Pro Shops coming to Centerra in Loveland felt like a done deal. Sadly, that situation never happened, but this current deal could be an even better situation. According to the Coloradoan, the Loveland City Council will consider Bass Pro Shops becoming the first main anchor store for the Brands at the Ranch. 

The Brands will eventually occupy all of the available land and free space between the Ranch/Budweiser Events Center and Nordy's BBQ Restaurant. The Brands is set to feature "world-class shopping and entertainment destinations" including a state-of-the-art movie theater, and new dining experiences that would be exclusive to the new shopping and entertainment complex. Will Bass Pro Shops be the first confirmed main anchor for the Brands at the Ranch? Tonight's (August 22nd, 2023) city council meeting will be another step in the right direction.

If approved, there is much to be done, but one thing is for sure, both sides, including my pal Martin Lind, seem eager to make this a reality so if I was a betting man, I'd push all of my chips right to the center of the table that Bass Pro Shops will soon call Northern Colorado home.
