Now that Labor Day has passed and the unofficial start to the fall season around Colorado has begun, it's time to start making those Halloween plans. Here's another fantastic local Colorado Halloween event to add to your to-do list.

Halloween Events Around Colorado

As I opened my patio door to the backyard earlier today, you can definitely feel that fall is most certainly in the air. Most people around Colorado love fall; in fact, it's one of Colorado's most popular seasons.

Is it the cooler temps and leaves changing colors? Is it that you can get just about everything in pumpkin spice flavors? Maybe all of the above...

To me, though, fall means Halloween is coming, and that means it's almost time for haunted houses and other fun family Halloween events all over our great state. One event that caught many people's attention last year is officially returning this month for the 2023 Halloween season.

Colorado's Magic Of The Jack O'Lanterns

Magic of the Jack O'Lanterns is a glowing trail featuring over 7,000+ spectacular hand-carved pumpkins. That's no typo, over seven thousand pumpkins. The event is back for the 2023 season at the Hudson Gardens beginning Friday, Sept. 22. On their website, they describe the event as:

A magical light show illuminates larger-than-life displays. A nautical sea-scape, a pirate ship, dinosaurs, dragons, and much more, all softly aglow throughout the event. You’ll find magic around every corner!
