After another losing season, the Denver Broncos announced today that they are parting ways with Head Coach Vic Fangio after 3 seasons.

Vic Fangio Fired As Broncos Head Coach

Yesterday's 28-24 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs was one of many games where the Denver Broncos beat themselves. After having the lead for most of the game, it all fell apart in the 4th quarter. It was the 13th consecutive loss to Kansas City, and apparently, it was enough to seal the deal on Broncos Head Coach Vic Fangio, as he was officially relieved of his head coaching duties as the Broncos Head Coach.

Broncos CEO, Joe Ellis, had the following to say regarding Vic's dismissal:

"This morning, George (Paton) and I informed Vic of the decision to part ways with him as head coach of the Denver Broncos. For the last three seasons, Vic put his heart and soul into coaching the Broncos. I want to thank Coach Fangio for giving his maximum effort to our organization since the day he was hired. George will have full authority to select the next head coach of the Broncos. This is his decision and his program. I have complete confidence in George's ability to lead an exhaustive and successful head coaching search."

The Denver Broncos General Manager, George Paton, said this regarding the team next leader:

"Our search to find the next head coach of the Broncos will be a comprehensive, collaborative process. We're approaching it with an open mind and look forward to spending time with some outstanding candidates. With the foundation in place, the progress that's been made, and the resources we have to get better, I'm excited about the future of our team. We will find an outstanding leader and head coach for the Broncos and our fans."

Fangio was the third different Head Coach for the Broncos since the team won the Super Bowl just 6 seasons ago.
