In about a week and a half a Wisconsin teenager will be showing up to her prom in a very unconventional dress.  One made (almost) entirely out of Starburst candy wrappers!

Kerrin Frey started working on the dress for her daughter six years ago.  She failed five times before finding a design both she and her daughter liked.  And not only did she make a dress, she made a matching purse, matching shoes, and a matching vest for her daughter's date.

Each wrapper had to be folded  eight times, before squeezing it with a tweezers and weaving it into the design.  Needless to say, this woman had a MUCH longer attention span than I could ever dream of.

The mom and the daughter seem thrilled about the creation, but the daughter's date didn't seem thrilled.  His reaction after being asked if he liked the Starburt dress/vest combo,

"Do I like it?...I don't really have a choice."

Ahh, spoken like a true gentleman.

Oh, and get this, as luck would have it, the school chose the theme of "Candyland" for their prom this year. So, the Starburst dress won't actually look too out of place.

Check out the video to see just how much work went into this thing. Nice work.
