Make sure you are listening tonight at 8pm for the SpokesBUZZ local music feature brought to you by New Belgium. Tonight’s Featured artist is The Nu Classics with the song “Know Me.”
The Nu Classics is a unique trio from Fort Collins, CO playing a blend of classic funk and neo soul. The band is fronted by singer Devon Parker and backed by Eric Imbrosciano on drums and Walter Hannah on organ and bass. The Nu Classics originally formed as an instrumental duo between Eric and Walter, who, for every week over the past two years, have hosted the Monday funk jam at Hodi’s Half Note in Fort Collins. Devon joined the group shortly thereafter and have continued to pump out booty shaking tracks ever since. The members of the Nu Classics have also played in other projects such as The Sam Kinniger Band, Juno What!?, Euforquestra and The Grippe.
