Horsetooth Road Should Be Reopened By Friday
Just about everyone who has had to travel across Fort Collins during the past week or so has felt the effects of the repaving project on Horsetooth Road. Good news, according to the Coloradoan, the project should be wrapped up and the road reopened on Friday.
Horsetooth has been closed (or at least partially closed) between College Avenue and Lemay Avenue for a 1.5 million dollar paving project. The newspaper said the eastbound lanes of Horsetooth will be closed between College and the south leg of Lemay Avenue for the next two days, and closed between Lemay and Timberline Road on Wednesday and Thursday, with a goal of having everything wrapped up and ready to go on Friday.
Road closures and detours will be marked. Drivers are advised to use Drake and Harmony roads during the closures.
If you're planning on driving anywhere near Horsetooth, Drake or Harmony, you probably should plan on a few extra minutes to get where you're going this week. At least this should be done before the holiday weekend.
