New Ranking Finds Two Colorado Cities As Most Educated In US

In an older study done by Wallethub, Colorado ranked as highly as fifth on a list of the most educated states in the entire country.

However, there are a couple of cities that stand out above the others as some of the most educated not only in the state, but in the entire country. 

According to Fox 31, who combed through census data to find the percentage of the population 25 years or older with at least a bachelor’s degree, two cities in the state are some of the smartest in the entire country. 

Fort Collins, Colorado Ranks as the 8th Most Educated City in the United States

Fort Collins gets a nod on the list as the 8th most educated state in the entire country. 52.9% of the population that’s 25 years or older have at least a bachelor’s degree. 

Of course, Fort Collins is home to Colorado State University, which has gained many accolades over the years. 

It was ranked by Schools.com as the best four-year college in the state, citing their great cost, program prominence, and the extra mile they go to ensure student success as major contributing factors. 

On the other hand, it is within the top 7% of colleges for best professors, as well as being in the top 18% for public universities in the country. 

Boulder, Colorado Ranks as the Most Educated City in the United States

Taking the first place spot is Boulder, with 63.2% of the population over 25 years or older having a bachelor’s degree.

Obviously, the University of Colorado Boulder has something to do with it as well. They also have a ton of accolades as well. 

They have had many notable alumni, with 3 Supreme Court Justices, 6 Nobel Prize Winners, and 18 astronauts in their ranks.

They also are a great school for graduate students, ranking highly in many different programs.
