You Know What I Mean, Like, Whatever!!
For the second consecutive year, “whatever” has been chosen the most annoying word or phrase of the year among five choices given in a Marist poll.
Of the 1,020 American adults surveyed last month, 39% chose “whatever,” followed by “like” at 28%, “you know what I mean” at 15%, “to tell you the truth” at 10% and “actually” at 5%. Three percent were unsure.
