Agony aunt, ATM, blood & guts, colonography, domestic partner, garbology, misery index, smashmouth, and sub woofer, are now some words that make me a little more honored to have been born the year I was.

What a great use of the Internet by Merriam Webster:  This website that lets you see what words were born the same year you were.

I’m noticing that a lot of these were coined a long time before they became mainstream; so to me, they sound more modern than most would expect from a given year.  What’s cool is it has a way of making me feel younger than I am.  Hey, I’ll take it!
