The latest on the Cameron Peak Fire, the East Troublesome Fire, and the Mullen Fire, after much-welcomed snowfall.

Cameron Peak Fire

The Cameron Peak Fire, which began August 13, 2020, and whose cause is still under investigation, has burned 208,663 acres and is 64% contained.

Though there have been windy conditions, the snow, cooler temperatures, and increased relative humidity have stalled the fire.

Warmer temperatures Sunday and into the rest of the week, along with continued gusty winds, are a concern; though the probability of any fire behavior beyond single tree or group tree torching is minimal. There are currently 1,459 personnel working the fire.

The current estimate for containment of the Cameron Peak Fire, the cause of which is still under investigation, is December 8, 2020.

East Troublesome Fire

The East Troublesome Fire, which began October 14, 2020, and whose cause is still under investigation, has burned 193,774 acres with 37% containment.

There are 381 personnel working the fire, north of Hot Sulphur Springs, with an estimated contained of December 10, 2020.

The Mullen Fire, burning 38 miles west of Laramie, Wyoming, in the Medicine Bow National Forest, began on September 17, 2020.

The fire is 96% contained, having burned 176,878 acres.
