WeldWerks Temporarily Closed Due To Positive COVID-19 Case
On Tuesday (Jan. 19) WeldWorks Brewing Company in Greeley announced that it would be closed until at least the end of the week due to a positive COVID-19 case within their staff.
The Greeley Tribune says the employee who tested positive served guests last Thursday (Jan. 14) and Friday (Jan. 15). WeldWorks believes the risk of exposure is low; however, guests are still being encouraged to get tested if they visited the brewery during the potential exposure period.
As a result of the positive COVID-19 case, WeldWerks has suspended on-site consumption until further notice. The company said it will continue to process to-go orders, using only employees who were not exposed to the now-positive person.
In addition, all staff members who were exposed to the employee with COVID-19 have been placed on a paid leave of absence and will be tested for the virus.
WeldWorks will update its Facebook page at 10 a.m. on Friday (Jan. 22) to share the status of its reopening. The current plan, according to the Greeley Tribune, is to open this weekend - however the company will remain closed for as long as necessary.
“We will be incredibly conservative on that front to ensure everything is 100% safe before we serve draft again,” a post from the brewery stated.
