Who’s This New Craft Brewer That’s by Denver International Airport?
Back before there was E-470 to get us to the airport, many of us took 104th to Tower Road. Now, these many years later, a brewery has opened where once there was nothing.
It's good to know that Colorado's craft beer scene does continue to grow; it's not an easy business. This unique location may be just the spot for a young craft brewery to stake its claim on the industry.
This new brewery near the airport hotels by DIA, is bound to do well. Tower Road is not like it once was, back in the 1980's, or even the 2010's; it's growing, population-wise and businesses-wise. It must be fun to start a new brewery, especially near where millions of people every year will be traveling through.
Looking at the above bar of Danico Brewing, it's clear that they put thought into the design: The Rocky Mountains. Much like Denver International Airport itself, this brewery near the airport pays tribute to the rockies.
The Denver Post reports that the name for Danico Brewing comes from the combining of the two friends/co-workers who started the company's first names: David and Nikki, "Danico." I wonder how many breweries in Colorado are named after their founders? Odell Brewing comes to mind, but not many others.
According to the Denver Post, you'll find a great kids' area and a nice variety of beers, including a pilsner, a porter, a Dunkel, a sour and two IPAs. I can see not only folks on their way to the airport stopping by, but those who've gotten home from out of town, needing a great beer, and of course, locals stopping in for a beer.
WHERE, EXACTLY IS DANICO?
You'll find Danico Brewing on Tower Road, just a bit south of Peña Boulevard.
