I was taught that when its cold outside you need to warm up your car. Not True. I can't blame my parents for teaching me that because they were taught that from their parents who grew up with the older cars. With the newer cars there is no need to warm up your car. A new article on Yahoo lists eight facts about warming up your car in the cold. Some of them might even come as a shock to you. One being that cars actually warm up faster by just driving it. In fact, idling actually hurts your cars and is bad for your health as well as your neighbors health. Not to mention that it also costs you money. So the next time you want to go start your car for a few minutes to let it warm up, just zip up your coat and start driving, it will get warm faster than you think.
