Headed to the movies this weekend? The summer blockbusters are starting to roll out and the drive-in is open…it’s a good time to be a movie lover.  In the big openings this week you can cast the latest Marvel comic-turned-movie, watch two families butt heads at a wedding in Martha’s Vineyard, and see the kind of complications that arise from waking up in bed with your BFF’s fiancé.

Thor” (PG-13)

The God of Thunder is cast down to Earth among humans where he must learn what it takes to be a true hero in this Marvel Comics movie adaptation.  Stars Chris Hemsworth, Anthony Hopkins, and Natalie Portman.


Jumping the Broom” (PG-13)

A comedy/romance where two families from very different backgrounds get together for a weekend wedding in Martha’s Vineyard. Stars Angela Bassett, Paula Patton, and Laz Alonso.


Something Borrowed” (PG-13)

After one drink too many, a “good girl” unexpectedly ends up in bed with her best friend’s fiancé.  Oops.  Looks like a lot of drama is about to unfold. Stars Ginnifer Goodwin, Kate Hudson, Colin Egglesfield, and John Krasinski.
