There’s a New Place To Drink Cider in Old Town Fort Collins
Locust Cider Colorado is here, just in time for our cider cravings.
After La Luz Mexican Grill permanently closed after a salmonella outbreak, its corner spot— hot real estate in downtown Fort Collins— remained empty for a while. Finally, this new business is here to give the space life again, with small-batch ciders and a food menu crafted by their neighbors at Welsh Rabbit.
The brewpub features awesome cider varieties like Original Dry, Dark Cherry, Mojito, Watermelon, and even a hot cider, their Winter Warmer.
Locust, according to their website, was founded in 2015 by brothers Jason and Patrick Spears in Woodinville, Washington, where 60% of the apples in the U.S. are grown. Sounds like a great place...full of cider.
These transplants are bringing the cider, so we'll welcome them in with open arms...and by the way, boys, can you save a pint of Watermelon for me?
