I believe we are in for a treat as the BRAND NEW Fort Collins Museum of Discovery prepares to open on November 10th. "A place where history meets hands-on science. There's always more to explore!" The brand new 16,000 square foot main gallery boasts many new and exciting exhibits for adults and children like the Funky Forest, Meet an Ice Age bison, jam out like a rock star, and discover 13,000 years of Fort Collins history! The Digital Dome Theater is a state of the art 360° screen with incredible surround sound. A few of the movies that will be featured are "One World, One Sky: Big Bird’s Adventure", "Cosmic Journey: A Solar System Adventure", and "Sea Monsters: A Prehistoric Adventure". The "Free-Zone", requires no admission ticket and includes a Free Observation Deck is on top of the museum where visitors can enjoy a 360° of our historic Downtown, Poudre River and the foothills.

Hours

Tuesday through Sunday, 10:00 am to 5:00 pm. The museum is closedon New Year’s Day, Christmas Day, and Thanksgiving Day.

Admission Prices

Adult $9.50 Senior $7.00 Student (with valid ID) $7.00 Junior (ages 3-12) $6.00 Children 2 & under FREE Members FREE

Admission to the Archive and museum store is always free.

Directions & Getting Here

The museum is located on Mason Court, at the intersection of Cherry and Mason Streets. Parking is free at the museum, and overflow parking is available along Cherry Street. The Civic Center Parking Structure is a short walk to the south at the corner of Laporte and Mason Streets.
