The Lumineers Will Play Denver's New Music Venue Grand Opening

The Mission Ballroom will celebrate its grand opening this summer, appropriately with a hometown band.

Denver's brand new live music destination in the RiNo neighborhood is scheduled to open in summer of 2019, and it's not going to be another dive-y rock venue. The AEG-operated ballroom 'features a moving stage that provides flexible capacity from 2,200 to 3,950 guests, unrivaled sight lines via tiered rows, state-of-the-art sound and lights, and a large dance floor.' Oh, also, it's 60,000 square feet — in other words, it's huge (Fillmore Auditorium is 10,000) — and disco ball is included.

Colorado's The Lumineers are set to play Mission's grand opening on Wednesday, August 7. Tickets start at $79.95 at axs.com; ages 16 and up.
