Texas Shooter Charged With Animal Cruelty in Colorado
The man who is accused of killing 26 people and injuring 20 people at a church in Texas has a previous past in the state of Colorado.
According to the Denver Channel, Devin Kelley, was a resident of a trailer park in Colorado Springs in 2014. In August of 2014, Kelley was charged with animal cruelty per a police report. A woman reported that a man that was identified as Kelley jumped on the Husky puppy and punched the dog in the head and neck numerous times. The witness said that the dog was punched four to five times and then was drug away. When law enforcement arrived to the residence, he refused to come out or show the dog. When he did finally come out, he admitted to jumping on the dog due to the puppy acting aggressive towards another dog. He, however, denied beating or dragging the dog.
Kelley was put in a patrol car and issued a summons in the case. The dag was taken to the Veterinary Specialty Center in El Paso County receive care.
