Go ahead and grab a box of tissues right now. A 16-year-old girl in Pennsylvania was diagnosed with terminal brain cancer just after Christmas. Her dream was to attend prom with her new boyfriend, so her family and friends rallied to throw her an early one.

According to LancasterOnline, the girl's name is Amber Martin and in December she was diagnosed with grade 4 astrocytoma (A type of brain cancer). Amber's dream was to attend prom with her new boyfriend, but her terminal diagnosis was not going to allow that. To make her wish come true more than 200 of her friend sand family pulled together to throw Amber her own personal prom.

This is all about a girl who had a dream...She wanted to attend a prom, so we got together and started making some phone calls and one thing led to another.

The young girl and her date were escorted to the prom by a local police cruiser and entered the prom surrounded by her friends from her and her boyfriend's high schools, all dressed and decorated in Amber's favorite colors.  (You can see video of her arrival here.)

You can read the full account of the night and the goings-on from LancasterOnline, but as you can imagine it was a pretty special night for everyone involved.

“I love it,” she cried. “I love my life. I love everyone. This is the best day of my life.”

I wish Amber, her boyfriend, her family, and all of her friends the best in the coming months. This sounds like it was a truly magical moment and thanks to LancasterOnline for sharing it with the world.
