Fort Collins is no stranger to strict smoking regulation; but the latest proposal to expand the smoking ban to include electronic cigarettes has some people up in arms.

Should companies stop hiring individuals that smoke?  A hospital in Maryland is doing just that.

There is a bill up for review that would make Colorado the first state to have a "21 to smoke" law.

A major company is taking a significant stand against smoking and the move is being applauded by the president.

I think a lot of smokers are about to get pretty upset. The Coloradoan is reporting that City Officials in Fort Collins are considering expanding our city's no-smoking rules. As a non-smoker, I'm all for it, but I have a feeling the smokers I know have very different opinions.

Smoking is not good for you. It's really not good for you if your career hangs on the sound of your golden voice. And smoking  weeks after having throat surgery would probably have your doctor pulling their hair out. Apparently, Adele doesn't care. She had surgery to remove a polyp on her vocal chord in November, but she was spotted smoking, again,  less than three months after her throat surgery!

Human stupidity never ceases to amaze me. A house fire in Oregon that caused $30,000 in damages was caused by the tenants using a hole in the floor as an ashtray. Apparently, they thought that the hole would be better used to throw their cigarettes in rather than fix it...
