The power of the water is incredible.

The National Weather Service has issued a flood advisory for the Poudre River. The Poudre had reached 7.43 feet between Windsor & Greeley. Flood stage is 8 ft.

After a nice warm weekend, people who either commute to Windsor from Greeley (like me), or live in Windsor and had to go to the east, got a rather rude awakening this Monday when most of the main roads into and out of Windsor were closed due to flooding.

Fort Collins officials are keeping a close eye on the Poudre River this spring season.  Huge amounts of snow pack in the high country could lead to flooding in and around the city. But officials think that flooding might be more likely in Windsor or Greeley. Just how much water is waiting up there for us?

Brisbane, Australia has been hit with flash flooding that has wiped out thousands of homes and caused at least 22 deaths. At least 43 other are still missing, according to Time Magazine. Officials are urging citizens to evacuate areas of Brisbane. See some of the devastating photos in the gallery above.
