Speeding Woman Claims God Told Her To Drive 100MPH
There are a lot of people in history that claim they’ve spoken to God, or that God told them to do something. But I’m going to guess that God didn’t tell this Florida woman to drive 100MPH through town, but that’s the excuse she gave police.
According to TC Palm, Police saw this 41-year-old woman was driving 100 mph in a 30 mph zone while honking her horn and proceeded to pull her over.
After she was stopped, an officer quoted her as saying she was speeding "because I was letting the Lord spirit guide me," according to a police report. She attributed her lengthy horn blowing to "the Lord telling me to do it."
For doing what she claimed was God’s will, she got a ticket for reckless driving and speeding. And to make things even worse she was also charged with violating her probation and leaving the scene of an accident with injuries.
Maybe we all just missed the 11th commandment of “Though shalt make it from Park Ave. to 7th Street in less than 10 minutes.”
