Tonight happening at about 12:30 am is the Geminids Meteor shower.  According to NASA there is a possibility of 120 meteors per hour to fly across the sky. If you have never seen a meteor shower you are missing out.  Its truly amazing to see the meteors flash across the sky. Its like seeing a falling star but 20 times better. Meteor showers are rare and usually happen early in the morning. So if you really want to see one you might have to either stay up late or get up early, as long as the sky is clear it will be worth it.
