We have a winter storm watch going in to effect late tonight through Wednesday evening in Fort Collins. Right now the forecast calls fro 3-8 inches of snow around town and wind gusts up to 45MPH.

The City of Fort Collins will be out, hard at work plowing our roads, but make sure you do your part and shovel your sidewalks. (If the city has to plow or de-ice your walkways, they're going to charge you for it!)

According to City of Fort Collins,

Residents are required to shovel sidewalks within 24 hours of snow accumulating. If a sidewalk is not completely cleared of snow and the City shovels or applies ice melt, there will be a cost to the property owner.

So, make sure you have a snow shovel handy and "git 'er done" once the flakes start falling.

And check out this video from the city about snow removal and how they prioritize plowing of city streets during a snowstorm?
