Shorter Lines At Colorado DMV Locations A Possibility – But How?
Lines at the DMV could get shorter if a draft bill proposed by the Colorado legislature's joint transportation committee passes next year.
The committee is eyeing the idea of outsourcing some DMV services to established retailers, like vehicle registrations, driver's licenses, and renewals. At least 18 states already do this, and 10 states currently hire private contractors to do driving tests for licenses.
Do you support the Colorado DMV outsourcing some of its services?
If it makes the lines shorter, and as long as I don't have to pay any more taxes than I already do, I'm personally all for it. Many businesses outsource services, and the state (the country, for that matter) is essentially a business.
