I was excited that the Nuggets got three 1st round picks in the NBA Draft. Then the draft came and Denver took three players and I had never heard of any of them. That doesn't mean they aren't good.  The Nuggets selected Kentucky shooting guard Jamal Murray with the No. 7 overall pick in the NBA draft last night. I hear he is good.

The 19-year-old Murray is coming off a freshman season in which he averaged 20 points a game and also had 113 3-pointers, the second-most in NCAA history for a freshman. The only player better was a guy named Steph Curry.

Denver took power forward Juan Hernangomez of Spain at No. 15 and guard/forward Malik Beasley out of Florida State with the 19th pick overall.

In the second round, the Nuggets used the 53rd pick on French forward Petr Cornelie, then sold their 56th pick to Oklahoma City.
