School Unearths Human Remains In Excavation

How creepy would that be to dig up some unexpected human remains? Well it happened at a Colorado school recently.

Ignacio Intermediate School had hired construction crews to install new sewage lines in the school's ballpark. In the process of removing the old sewage lines this past Thursday the remains of 5 human bodies were unearthed.

Now if you're wondering where Ignacio, Colorado is... it's way down near Durango on the Colorado-New Mexico border.

According to the La Plata County Coroner the bones discovered are between 50 and 75 years old. As it turns out the bodies dug up are most likely from an old family burial plot and no foul play is expected.

The bodies will remain in place until archaeologists can carefully excavate them.

Investigator's are currently trying to track down family of those discovered.
