The rare beer is produced by secluded Trappist monks and are only offering the beer to a hand full of stores. Wilbur's Total Beverage Wine & Spirits in Fort Collins is one of the few to be selected to offer the Westvleteren 12 brew.

For the first time in the U.S. the abbey of Saint Sixtus of Westvleteren is offering the beer in order to pay for needed repairs and renovations.

The beer is brewed in Belgium by the clandestine monks and until now the only way to get your hands on the beer was by appointment only. Due to the need for repairs and renovations of the monastery they are offering the beer to the U.S. for the first time. Wilbur's, in Fort Collins will offer the beer beginning Friday morning at 9am.

The beer however isn't expected to stay in stock long as they have received calls from around the U.S. requesting the beer. However the beer will be sold on a first come first served basis and it won't come cheap... Wilbur's only received 36 - 6packs and they sell for $85 each.
