The Budweiser Clydesdale Horses will be back in Fort Collins from Dec. 13th 2012 (Today) through January 5th, 2013. The giants of Budweiser’s West Coast Hitch get to come back “home” for a little winter break and you have the chance to see them up-close. If you’ve never visited these horses, I think you’re missing out.

When and where can you see them?

According to Budweiser’s website, the horses will be in Fort Collins from 12/13/12-01/05/13 and will be available for viewing during normal business hours.

The brewery will also have a few special events with these magnificent creatures. They are planning a Party on The Patio and Clydesdale Camera Day on Sunday December 16th. You can get a photo with the Clydesdales between 1-3PM, plus there will be live music and Budweiser will be collecting donations for the American Red Cross. There will be another Clydesdale Camera Day on Saturday, January 5th from 1-3PM.

One of the great things about the Budweiser tour (And the horse barn) is that it’s free and it's amazing. I’ve done it quite a few times in my life and even if you don’t like beer, it’s an impressive tour. And those Clydesdales are truly a beautiful sight to see. Kids love ‘em!

Did you know that each Clydesdale on the hitch team eats 20 to 25 quarts of whole grains, minerals and vitamins, 50 to 60 pounds of hay, and 30 gallons of water per day? Wow. (You can click that link and see some other Clydesdale facts to impress the in-laws with when you go visit the horses.)

Anheuser-Busch Fort Collins brewery’s tour center is just northwest of I-25 and Mountain Vista. The Brewery Tours are available Thursday–Monday 10am-4pm. The Gift Shop is open 10am-5pm daily.

Now, just for kicks, here is one of my favorite Clydesdale commercials.
