New Show ’68 Whiskey’ Stars CSU Alum, Premiers This Week
Ron Howard's new comedy-drama 68 Whiskey stars Derek Theler, the 33-year-old actor and model from Fort Collins (sometimes he still visits).
Theler attended Colorado State University before landing acting gigs, and eventually scoring his first major on-screen role as Danny on the ABC Family (now Freeform) sitcom Baby Daddy in 2012.
Now, Theler stars in a modern day, millennial M*A*S*H of sorts, on the Paramount Network; 68 Whiskey debuts Wednesday, January 15.
Paramount Network's new dark comedy ...follows a group of Army medics stationed at a base in Afghanistan nicknamed 'The Orphanage.' Much like the classic Alan Alda sitcom, the men and women stationed there find humor in their circumstances (and sometimes break the rules) in order to survive. Unlike "M*A*S*H," these medics use a lot of words we can't print in a family newspaper. -USA Today
