New Movies This Week: “Sanctum”, “The Roommate” [VIDEO]

Alrighty, here's a quick preview of the big movies opening up in theatres this weekend: " The Roommate" and “Sanctum.” Read more for a quick synopsis, trailers, and links for show times.

“The Roommate” Rated PG-13, starring: Leighton Meester and Minka Kelly. A college girl gets assigned to a seemingly-nice roommate, but then finds herself fighting for her life from the psycho coed.  Apparently the cheesy, college-girl-in-her-bedroom horror movie is not dead after all.

Also out this weekend is, “Sanctum.” This one is rated R and stars Alice Parkinson and Richard Roxburgh. We have come to expect some epic movies from James Cameron (Avatar, Titanic) and this one looks to be a cinematic masterpiece of camera work and special effects.  But, I wonder how much of a plot he can fit into an underwater spelunking movie.  Claustrophobics beware.
