Heads up, stoners and sandwich-lovers (or both) — Cheba Hut is opening another location in Greeley later this month.

The chain has been in Greeley at 1645 8th Ave. for ten years, and it is now expanding to the west side of town in CenterPlace's Bear Paw Shopping Center (4239 CenterPlace Drive).

According to The Greeley Tribunethe new location will attempt to reflect the personality of the west side of town, as opposed to the college-oriented east side.

The new addition has been coming for quite some time, with Cheba Hut owner Scott Jennings stating that it wasn't a matter of if the restaurant was coming to west Greeley, but when.

"We were kind of waiting for the right spot in west Greeley, then this one came along," said Jennings. "There has been a lot of buzz. People have been asking for one out west for quite some time."

The new location is set to open on March 30.

It will make Greeley the seventh city to have multiple Cheba Huts, joining Fort Collins, Denver, Las Vegas, Phoenix, San Diego, and Albuquerque.

Even though Greeley is smaller than the above cities, Jennings sees potential in the home of the Bears.

"I've always been a big fan of Greeley..." he said. "And, Greeley is kind of growing up. It's growing out west, and we're excited."

The incoming Cheba Hut will have a wrap-around patio and 16 beers on tap. It will also feature its own unique mural, something that is a staple of the sandwich chain.
