National Anthem Butchered By Colorado Native. Now Headed To Rehab
Even if you missed the Major League Baseball All-Star Home Run Derby on Monday night, you've probably seen the most viral moment of the event... The National Anthem. The artist who butchered the Star Spangled Banner is a Colorado native...
Colorado Native Butchers National Anthem At MLB Home Run Derby
It's the National Anthem heard around the world, and it's being called one of the worst performances of the beautiful Star Spangled Banner in history. Well, at least on such a large stage like an MLB All-Star event. Here's the video of her performance...
The country star, Ingrid Andress, who grew up in Highlands Ranch, Colorado, had a rough go at the MLB Home Run Derby on Monday night, as she performed the Star Spangled Banner, a song that she's performed many times before, and completely bombed.
It was much worse than a tad off-key, as one of Colorado's own laid a real egg with the world watching. If you've ever heard Ingrid's music, or seen her perform live before, you'd know that this wasn't like the star singer we've grown to love, as her voice is absolutely beautiful. So, what happened?
Ingrid Andress Says She Was Drunk During National Anthem Performance
Maybe it was nerves, or maybe it was just the fact that she was celebrating getting to sing one of the nation's most beloved tunes in front of thousands of screening fans. Whichever the case, she "celebrated" a little too hard before one of the biggest performances of her life, and it didn't go well.
In a statement on her official IG account, Ingrid revealed today that the now-viral performance, happened while she was drunk...
As someone who's met and watched her absolutely it crush live, I hope she gets whatever help is needed to get her back to good. We've forgiven other artists for much worse, so let's be behind Ingrid and welcome her back when she's ready to get back behind a mic.
Her song "More Hearts Than Mine," which has over 40 million views on YouTube, might be one of the greatest and realest songs ever written...
A voice like that deserves a chance to redeem herself, and we hope she gets it upon her return. Get back up on that horse and ride, Ingrid, we got you.
