Maserati Crash Kills Former Fort Collins Resident
A high-speed Maserati crash in an icy pond took the life of a Fort Collins man this weekend.
According to 9NEWS via the USA TODAY Network, the Maserati was discovered submerged in a pond, its top covered in frost, by someone walking along a nearby ditch at around 9:40 a.m. on Saturday in Douglas County. Deputies discovered 24-year-old Brandon Gianopoulos, a Mike Ward Maserati salesman, deceased in the vehicle.
Friends described Gianopoulos on Facebook as "a genuine soul" who was "ambitious and driven" and "had the heart of an angel." Gianopoulos went to Fossil Ridge High School and also studied Exercise Science and Health Promotion at Colorado State University. He lived in Denver at the time of the accident.
