A man died over the weekend after he was ejected from his vehicle west of Greeley.

Police responded to a crash at about 8:21 p.m. on Sunday night (Dec. 27) on the eastbound U.S. 34 off-ramp to County Road 257, according to the Loveland Reporter-Herald.

At the scene, police found a man ejected from his vehicle with no pulse. The unidentified man was transported to North Colorado Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.

The Weld County Coroner’s Office has yet to identify the man but will do so pending notification of next of kin.

When speaking about the incident on Monday (Dec. 28), police were unsure whether the man was wearing a seat belt nor whether speed, drugs or alcohol may have contributed to the accident.

According to data via the Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT), the man was at least the 45th person to die this year on Weld County roads.
