A 22-year-old man died early Saturday morning in a single-vehicle collision, according to a Fort Collins Police Services press release.

The man driving a  2008 Toyota Tacoma was traveling south on South College Avenue and went off the east side of the road near Victoria Drive, colliding with the guard rail.

Police responded to the incident at 2:05 a.m. The male driver was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash. The intersection and surrounding roadways were closed for about six hours as scene was processed.

Officers said they are investigating whether speed, drugs or alcohol were factors.
