Hike #1: 11 a.m. Arthur’s Rock Trail.
Description: Join us for our annual climb up to Arthur’s Rock. This naturalist lead 3.4-mile round trip hike offers spectacular view of the hogbacks, reservoir, and plains beyond. Arthur's Rock Trail winds through forested mountainsides and open meadows to the summit of Arthur's Rock. Along the trail, hikers can travel through different ecosystems because of the changing elevation. Upon reaching the summit of Arthur's Rock, one is offered a impressive view of Horsetooth Reservoir and the Front Range from an elevation of 5,600 feet. Dress for the weather in layers. If there is snow on the ground, snow cleats and poles are highly recommend. Bring a light snack to enjoy at the summit.

Hike #2: 11 a.m. South Valley Loop Trail.
Description: Join our Friends of Lory State Park members for a meetup hike on the South Valley Loop Trail. This 2.7 round trip hike will take you through the valley and close to the border of Horsetooth Mountain Open Space. The trail follows the edge of the foot-hills on one side and comes back along the hogbacks on the other, crossing over intermittent streams with wonderful meadow views. Dress in layers, and consider poles or snow cleats for snowy, icy weather.
