Larimer County to Move to Safer At Home Level Red
According to a recent press release from Larimer County, the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment has moved the county from Safer at Home Level 2 (yellow) to Level 4 (red).
The color dial is used to measure the seriousness of cases and, in turn, the amount of restrictions imposed on counties. Weld County moved to red on Thursday, November 19, and all signs were pointing to Larimer soon following suit.
This is all due to the rapid number of rising cases across all age groups in Larimer County: the positivity rate is currently at 12.1%.
The changes will officially go into effect on at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday (Nov. 24) and Larimer County says that "almost every type of business will be impacted by this change." Things like indoor dining will no longer be allowed and gyms will be a highly reduced capacity.
