I first thought this was a joke. I then noticed the story was from the Washington Post so assumed it had validity and actually read it. Who knew we were gang members?

If you are a registered motorcycle owner in the United States, you are a classified FBI gang list True story...here is the response given by a member of the National Security Branch when directly asked if this was true:

That would be a true statement, the FBI has been collecting and compiling Department of Motor Vehicles and Drivers License Division records for the purpose of adding those that own motorcycles to a classified gang list since 1994 - Darrin Cornia/National Security Branch

I am just blown away to be honest that anyone in our Government would be dumb enough to actually put validity to this and where did they come up with the fact that 67% of are more likely to commit crime than those who don't own motorcycles?

It’s nothing more than collecting and utilizing data. We may not like to admit it, but the truth of the matter is that those that own and operate motorcycles are 67% more likely to be involved in illegal or criminal activity than those that do not own or operate a motorcycle - Darin Cornia

He also went on to say that gang members likes the Bloods and Crips who have tattoo's with their gang affiliation who swear they aren't in that mentioned gang are not gang members is the same thing. They can't just pick and choose who's in a gang and who's not.

Really? If someone has a thug background with a Crips tattoo is more than likely they are in a Crip gang. Just because someone rides a motorcycles does NOT mean they are in a 1% outlaw motorcycle gang.

I'm not even sure where to go with this profiling but of course the FBI says it's not profiling.

What a joke!  However, it is what it is so if you ride a motorcycle, you are no an official "gang member." Congratulations, you made it you thug you!
