In news that makes me scream inside, 'Gremlins' may be getting remade. Why must they keep remaking things? Are they that desperate for movies? Apparently, Steven Spielberg's company, Amblin, has been approached several times in the past and has turned down offers. That may not be the case anymore.

I have only been a fan of a few remakes of some of my childhood movies, I am not sure I can get behind this remake. I mean how can you replace puppets with CGI? That is probably what is going to happen which won't be the same at all.

It is still up in the air if this will happen and if it will be a straight up remake or a continuing of the series. I think I would be more accepting of another sequel rather than a remake but who knows.

What are your thoughts? Do you think they need to keep remaking 80's and 90's movies for a new audience?
