A Greeley man was arrested on Monday afternoon after allegedly pointing a handgun at another motorist in what is being treated as an apparent road rage situation.

According to a press release from the Weld County Sheriff's Office, 39-year-old Jeff W. Lords was driving a silver KIA on I-25 near mile marker 242 when he allegedly threatened another driver with a gun at around 4:30 p.m. Members of the Colorado State Patrol, WCSO, and Johnstown Police initiated the traffic stop at mile marker 252 near Johnstown, where Lords was taken into custody at 4:47 p.m. without further incident.

He is being held at Weld County Jail on charges of DUI, DUI per se, prohibited use of a weapon, and felony menacing.

All charges are merely accusations unless or until proven guilty.
