Both I-25 and Prospect Road in Fort Collins will be fully closed on Wednesday night, the City of Fort Collins shared on Facebook.

As crews work on the new Prospect I-25 overpass bridge, there will be a shutdown of northbound and southbound I-25, as well as eastbound and westbound Prospect from 9 p.m. on November 13 to 5 a.m. on November 14.

'This closure may continue overnight Thursday night as this work is weather dependent,' CDOT said.

CDOT provided the following detour instructions for Prospect Road:

'Westbound Prospect Road traffic will be detoured north to Mulberry Street. Eastbound Prospect Road traffic will be detoured south to Harmony Road.I-25 traffic will be detoured up and over I-25 using the on- and off-ramps at Prospect Road.'

I-25 travelers can follow this detour map.

The construction is for a project that started earlier this fall that is widening I-25, and lengthening the Prospect overpass, which will soon include a bike and pedestrian lane, according to CDOT.
