Just in case you needed more proof that amazing people come from Northern Colorado, here it is!

The Coloradoan reports that a 76 year-old Fort Collins woman recently shattered the world record time for running a half marathon.

Colorado Running Hall of Fame member Libby James ran a 1 hour, 45 minute, 56 second half marathon on Jan. 12 at the Walt Disney World Half Marathon, breaking the previous age group world record for women between the ages of 75-79.

The previous record of 1:55:19 was set in 2009 by Ginette Benard.

Way to go, Libby!  You've made Fort Collins proud!
