Fort Collins Police Investigating Serious Hit-and-Run at Mulberry and I-25
Westbound Mulberry Street was closed at I-25 for hours on Tuesday, August 25, as the Fort Collins police investigated a serious hit-and-run collision.
The Fort Collins Police Services posted on Facebook that the incident happened around 11 a.m. on Tuesday. Witnesses say that two people in a blue 1993 Honda Civic struck two adult pedestrians on the I-25 overpass and fled the scene.
Both pedestrians were transported to hospitals, and the car was later recovered and found to be stolen. Police are still looking for the suspects and asking the community for help.
'We need our community’s help identifying the two individuals responsible for this incident,' said FCPS Assistant Chief Tim Doran, who leads the agency’s Special Operations Division. 'Leaving the scene of a crash, especially after severely injuring pedestrians, is not only morally repugnant, it’s a felony.' Fort Collins Police Services Facebook
